Royalwood Estates

Royalwood Estates is a typical west Omaha community developed in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Its location close to shopping, schools and churches have made it a stable neighborhood for families of all ages and incomes since its inception. The development once abutted a private country club which was an incentive for construction of larger homes with more amenities on the streets alongside its beautiful golf course. Today the country club is gone, being replaced by a multi use project which will eventually contain office buildings, shops, apartments, single family homes, and a tri-faith center. One large office building, a beautiful Jewish temple, and a lovely, single family home are already occupied with construction on other buildings underway. The project’s site plan provides for residential construction alongside the Royalwood Estates’ border, thus providing a seamless transition for both developments. Today most houses in the Royalwood Estates neighborhood are well-maintained with mature landscaping. Many have modern updates, including new siding, windows, and remodeled kitchens and baths. Prices vary greatly depending upon size, style and location within the development, usually ranging between $175,000 and  $300,000. The community is home to OPS’s Catlin Elementary School and is close to Beveridge Middle School and Burke High School. Several parochial and private elementary school are near as well as a popular YMCA facility.
