Eagle Run

Lovely ranches, two stories, and story-and-a-half homes are found in the Eagle Run subdivision.  Located between 127th and 132nd, Corby to Maple Street, it abuts a popular golf course, also known as Eagle Run.  Demographics for the area show families of all ages enjoy living in the community as do young professionals, empty nesters and singles.  The neighborhood truly has something for everyone.

Eagle Run Golf Club is actually two separate courses, each appealing to golfers with different skill levels.  The Links is an executive course with challenging fairways, bunkers, and water hazards, while the Meadows is a par three, shorter course more suited for beginners and family play.  Golf lessons and junior leagues are popular features of the club and attract many families.  Both courses are available for private, business, and charitable outings and offer refreshments and casual food service.  One popular but unique outing for the Meadows is a night tournament.  With special lighting and “glow balls” it is a fun, private party for golfers of all skill levels and ages.

Of course, all residents are not golfers, so there are numerous other things to do in the neighborhood. The City of Omaha’s largest soccer complex is just a few blocks away; a youth baseball/softball facility is close; a few blocks west is an indoor ice skating rink; and the city operates a public golf course in the same area.  For those not interested in athletics (and those who are) there are numerous restaurants, bars, a 20 screen movie theater, and shops and stores along the Maple Street corridor.  Education is important too.  Eagle Run is served by the Omaha Public School System and several private and parochial schools.  Churches of many denominations are found in the neighborhood.

Employment is found at office parks and retail centers in the area, and near-by I-680 is convenient for commuters working in other parts of the city.  This same roadway gets residents quickly to other venues for concerts, festivals, theater productions, as well as art and historical museums.

Residents of Eagle Run don’t have to look very hard to find something to do in Omaha!
