"Thinking about calling one of those “We Buy Houses” companies? Call Karen instead. I’m glad I did. If my listing documents had been paper instead of electronic, the ink wouldn’t have had time to dry before I got an offer! This was despite having been listed previously under a different agent - and going ninety days with no sale. (If your house isn’t selling in a seller’s market, you have a problem.) Karen is not one of those agents who seem to regard tact and honesty as mutually exclusive. She gave me a price estimate that was realistic, and pointed out problems as well as appealing aspects of the property. Also, I was well advised against “improvements” that would cost me more in the long run than selling as-is at a lower price. During the closing process, unusual complications arose, but Karen handled them masterfully and helped settle my rattled nerves (not an easy thing to do!) I needed to find a rental where I could live until I could find another house to buy. Karen put the word out to her N.P. Dodge colleagues, one of whom found me something ideal!
